A Warm Welcome at USLS: An Unforgettable First Day
Our first day at the University of St. La Salle (USLS) was truly amazing. From the moment we arrived, everyone includes lecturers, students, and staff have welcomed us with big smiles and open arms. Their kindness and hospitality made us feel at home right away, as if we were already part of the USLS family. What made the day even more special was that our welcome happened at the same time as a big event is the send-off ceremony for final-year education students who were about to start their teaching internships in public schools across Bacolod. The event was filled with excitement and pride, as students, lecturers, and parents gathered to celebrate this important milestone. Being part of such a meaningful occasion made us feel honored, like we were also stepping into something important.
The ceremony was really inspiring. There were heartfelt speeches, lots of cheers, and a warm, supportive atmosphere. It was clear that USLS truly values its students and their future as teachers. Seeing the strong bond between the lecturers and students showed me that education isn’t just about learning in class, it’s about building connections and growing together. By the end of the day, we already felt like we belonged. It was the perfect start to our SEA-Teacher journey, giving us a glimpse of the warmth, passion, and dedication that make USLS such a special place.
